Hyderabad vs Bangalore

Now being a Hyderabadi is not something that comes naturally to me. The city has been home to me only for the last 5 years or so, and I have been mostly out of the city even during this time. A news article in ToI Hyderabad today does however raise my Hyderabadi instincts, in which it lists 13 reasons (Page 2 of the Main Paper) why IT firms should make a beeline to Hyderabad rather than Bangalore.

Taking cue from the
recent controversy regarding Mr. Narayan Murthy's resignation from BIAL, the Andhra Pradesh Government has already begun parleys with Infosys to set up another campus in Hyderabad.
Hyderabad has much better roads than Bangalore & far lesser traffic, and to me this is reason enough for companies to move (especially larger ones like Infosys, which has thousands of people working out of a single campus). It's people are just as accomodative, language is a lesser barrier and in that sense Hyderabad is more multi-religious, multi-lingual & tolerant than Bangalore. Weather is almost as good, and far better than in Chennai.
Though with far fewer pubs, discs, restaurants, malls & theatres, Hyderabad is far less interesting, atleast for now. We will just have to wait and see, for now, if Mr. Murthy is mad enough with a particular Bangalorean to pack his bags and come back home.

Bangalore is definitely more cosmopolitan but hyderabad is definitely a better place to live in.The people in hyderabad are much more exiting they are happy to experiment with stuff than bangaloreans who prefer to live a very static life. The traffic is better in hyderabad and the people are definitely much better. ameericanhitler i beg to differ with your point that you cant live without telugu in hyderabad ive needed to speak in telugu more in bangalore with the auto drivers than those in hyderabad who speak hindi. The food is definitely better in hyderabad ( haleem, biryani.... the list is endless ).
Bangalore has just made more noise regarding IT and BT but hyderabad is miles ahead of bangalore in both the fields.

Bangalore has been in top position and now if some companies are moving out of Bangalore is not because they were attracted to other cities but in disappointment that Govt of Karnataka is not able to provide better infrastructure as per growing demand everyday. Hyderabad or any other city cannot beat Bangalore. Hyderabad may have good growth, but Bangalore is not in standstill position, in spite of infrastructure problems. Hyderabad is not cosmopolitan. People from other states cannot watch their regional language movies and they don't have their state style restaurents. But Bangalore has all kinds of restaurents, movies in all languages and in one word, it's a mini India. One more good thing about Bangalore is local people love their own language Kannada, though they respond in our languages also (I am a Telugu). But Hyderabadis ignore their language Telugu and embrace Hindi shamelessly. Hyderabad has more hype than actual stuff and I, being from A.P. feel embarassed that fake software experience candidates are more from Hyderabad.

I wont say according to me because I like to accept facts.I am a Hyderabadi ......I like my hometown and even cities like Banglore. The thing I want to specify is, Hyderabad is the fastest developing city in India...So many companies have started in the past two , three years and everyone knows that it is the most beautiful city with many attractions. There is everything in this city....good and bad, rich and poor, old and new which covers the whole indian culture.i am proud about that.....thing is hyderabad has Chandrababu naidu...leader representing the development of Hyderabad and India too.
